The Library has excellent collection of books, journals and non-book material in Science, Engineering, Technology, Humanities and Management. We maintain separate collections of Reference Books, Standards, and Back volumes of journals, Technical Reports, Theses and Compact Discs. We are using Modern lib OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue), where the users can search the Library Online Catalogue by Author's name, title, subject, and keywords available on the campus LAN. The total collection of library stands at 12000 volumes and 125 national and international journals including IEEE, ACM, ASCE & ASME

Digital Library

The Digital Library facilitates access to Electronic Information and library services to ensure that the information needs of our students, faculty, and staff are met. The digital library collection can be accessed through intranet [ Greenstone Digital Library Software] site http://192.168.0.168 and www.svslibrary.co.cc

Non-Book Material Resources

The collection comprises more than 1, 545 VCD/DVDs, Subjects range from Computer Science, Electronics and Electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics, Science and Humanities.

How To Access Library Digitaly?

The quickest way to locate videos or CDs in the Library is to search the library Catalog [OPAC]. Do a keyword search by "Material type". Enter a portion of the title, or other keyword information and the Material Type (Videos, CD-ROMs/DVDs, Floppies, Audio) to find the required resource. You can also search by subject for a particular department. The Center has many multimedia systems for viewing digital videos and other formats. The Center provides equipment and expertise for producing digital videos for classroom and extracurricular projects. This includes CD and DVD creation. Digitally available materials can be downloaded and print out in the library. Photocopying facilities are available for Journals, Articles and Reference books.

Internet Access
8 Mbps Broadband Internet connections are provided to enhance access to the e- recourses. Enough number of systems are available in the digital section to access Delnet, BCL, AIRC Web resources and Intranet. Broadband facilities will be available to the students and faculty from 8.15 AM to 6.30 PM.

E-books & e-journals
We subscribe to more than 1,200 Online Journals, Transactions and E-Books have access to over 275 journal, magazine and newspaper articles from international societies. E-Books and E-Journals support the learning and research needs of our students and faculty. In addition, a unique collection of other useful free online journals and e-books on the internet are made available to the users in our campus.
